What's Actually Included in Our $89 Standard Visit

Most handyman businesses in Toledo won’t quote a price online. The standard line is “Call for a free estimate.” We did the opposite — our standard visit is $89, posted on the homepage, no asterisks.

People still ask: what does that cover? Here’s the honest answer.

What $89 includes

The visit itself — a trained handyman shows up at the agreed time and works the job through to completion. No charge for travel time, no charge for the truck.

Pre-visit diagnostic — when you upload a photo or video through the portal, we review it before quoting. Sometimes that means we can quote the job confidently on a single visit. Sometimes it means we tell you up front “this needs more than $89 — here’s the real quote.”

Live photo documentation — before, during, and after. Every job. Visible in your portal in real time. That’s a feature we don’t see anywhere else in Toledo, and it’s bundled in.

Cleanup — when we leave, the workspace looks better than it did when we arrived.

When material costs apply

If the job needs parts, those are added to the quote with the actual receipt attached. A faucet cartridge from Home Depot for $22 gets billed at $22. We don’t mark up materials.

For most small repairs (drywall patch, faucet rebuild, smart lock install), materials run $20–$80. We tell you the estimate before we buy.

When $89 isn’t enough

Some jobs are bigger than a standard visit. Full bathroom remodels, kitchen renovations, deck builds — those are quoted separately, still transparently, still with materials at receipt cost.

The way to find out: send a photo through the portal. We’ll tell you within hours whether $89 covers it or what the real number is.

Why we did it this way

Three reasons.

Trust. A posted price means you don’t wonder if you’re being quoted high because of how you sound on the phone or what neighborhood you live in. Same number for everyone.

Speed. No phone tag. You see the price, you submit the job, you get a same-day confirmation. The average tenant takes 8 minutes from opening the portal to confirmed visit.

Filter. Some jobs aren’t a good fit for us — too big, too far from Toledo, outside our skill set. Publishing the price means we both find out fast instead of after a wasted estimate visit.
