Will my existing deadbolt work? +
Most residential deadbolts (the round, 1.5" cylindrical kind) work with major brands. Send a photo of your current lock through the portal and we confirm compatibility before quoting.
Can I unlock the door if the Wi-Fi is down? +
Yes — every smart lock we install has either a physical key backup or a keypad that works offline. We make sure you have the backup key or master code documented.
How do I re-code between Airbnb guests? +
Either through the app (most brands have auto-expire codes) or we can set up Schlage Home / Yale Connect to manage codes for you. We walk you through it on the install visit.
Do batteries actually last a year like they claim? +
In normal residential use, 8-14 months. Heavy use (Airbnb, vacation rental) gets 4-6 months. We can come back to swap batteries or we will leave you spares.
